Responsible and Impactful AI
Exploring how venture capital can shape the future of AI responsibly
With a significant proportion of early-stage funding going to AI companies, VCs are betting big on the AI revolution.
We need to bring the lens of impact and responsibility into these investment decisions – to ensure sufficient focus on driving positive outcomes for people and planet and on managing downside risks and long-term adverse impacts associated with these investments. As well as realising better outcomes for society and the environment, we think operating in this way drives long term success for AI companies and their investors.
These resources unpack the ways AI can help us move the needle on the major social and environmental issues of our time – providing tools and resources that help VCs practically invest behind those themes in a responsible way.
They have been developed through a series of international gatherings, working group sessions, and interviews, with our global community of VC funds, LPs, network of academic experts, and partners.

AI News & Insights

"I have been part of the ImpactVC community from the start and have loved being involved. If you are investing in companies that drive impact then this is the community to be a part of! I have met LPs who have since become investors and I have met VCs who have since become co-investors."

"I really cherish the opportunity to hear from other VCs in the field through the working groups. Being able to surface questions and tap into the collective intelligence of the community is such a huge benefit when it comes to solving complex, material challenges and simply learn from each other."

"The peers I met through ImpactVC genuinely shape how I show up in my work and engage with core stakeholders. What I love most is that it’s always high-trust yet never feels formal and I always leave having learned something new and relevant, whether over drinks, breathwork and breakfast, or quick Zoom sparring.”
