TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR ATTENDEES
("ATTENDEE TERMS")
These Attendee Terms were last updated on 19 March 2025.
These Attendee Terms set out the legal contract that applies when you register an Attendee's interest to attend the training event ("Training Event") via the Booking Form. For the purposes of these Attendee Terms, "you" refers to the Legal Entity and the individual Attendee.
Details about the Training Event including the dates ("Training Event Dates") and the venue location ("Venue") are available on the Training Event page.
They apply together with our Website Terms of Use, which set out how you may use our website www.impactvc.co (the "Website"), and our Privacy Policy, which sets out how we will use your data.
We’ve worked hard to make these Attendee Terms easy to understand and avoid legal jargon. Please read them carefully because they are legally binding.

How can you contact us?
If you would like to contact us, please email hello@impactvc.co.
Do you need to meet any requirements before completing the booking form?
By completing the booking form on our Website you are confirming that:
-
you are legally capable of entering into binding contracts; and
-
you are at least 18 years old.
When is our contract formed?
After completing the booking form, you will receive an acknowledgement email from us. Except where you are a Speaker, your contract with us is formed when we take your payment and not at the time you complete the Booking Form.
If your Booking Form cannot be accepted for any reason, we will let you know why by email as soon as reasonably practicable, and you will be refunded.
How and when will your payment be taken?
The price you pay to attend the Training Event is as specified on the Training page when you submit your Booking Form, except for in cases of obvious error.

If you think you are eligible for a bursary, please provide evidence when prompted to do so on the Booking Form.
We may update our prices at any time, but any changes will not affect attendees who have received an acknowledgement email from us.

We usually send invoices at least 14 days in advance of the Training and these invoices need to be paid within 14 days of the date of the invoice or in any event before the Training. You can pay invoices via the methods set out on the invoice.

What should you know about the Training?
The verbal and written material (i.e. text, handouts, PowerPoint etc) ("the Content") is prepared and delivered by our employees, consultants and/or individuals who are engaged to speak at the Training Event ("Speakers").
It may be necessary for reasons beyond our control to change the Content and timing of the programme, the Speakers, the date, or the Venue at any time prior to the Training Event date.
It is our policy to give the fullest freedom to all Attendees to express their opinions. However, Attendees and Speakers are responsible for any spoken comments which they may make, and agree that their Content will not contain anything which is unlawful or which infringes the statutory or common law rights of any third parties.
The opinions expressed by Attendees and Speakers do not necessarily represent our views, and we take no responsibility for any Content or spoken comments by them.
The Content is provided for general information only. It is not intended to amount to legal, tax or investment advice on which you should rely. You must obtain professional or specialist advice before taking, or refraining from, any action on the basis of the Content.
Although we make reasonable efforts to update the Content, we make no representations, warranties or guarantees, whether expressed or implied, that the Content is accurate, complete or up to date.
What can you expect from us?
We will comply with the laws and obtain any consents and/or licences we need in order to run the Training, including in relation to health and safety and security measures during the in-person social at the Venue.

What about the Venue for the optional ‘in-person’ social?
You should make your own arrangements to attend the optional in-person social event. If provided by email, you should comply at all times with the Venue's rules.

We are not liable if you can't attend the in-person social, for example due to adverse weather conditions, travel disruption or medical reasons.

We do our best to make sure the Venue is available to be accessed for the duration of the in-person social, but we can't guarantee that it will meet your specific requirements or that the Venue's insurance arrangements will cover your specific risks (including in relation to damage, liability, cancellation or curtailment).

What happens if something goes wrong?
If we breach these Attendee Terms, our liability is limited to a full refund of the Training you purchased.
We accept no liability for:
-
injury or damage to persons or property at the Social Event; and/or
-
any actual or alleged indirect loss or consequential loss of profit, loss of business, loss of earnings, business interruption, or loss of business opportunity.
We do not exclude or limit our liability to you to the extent it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or breach of your consumer rights.
What happens if we have to postpone or cancel the Training?
We will not be liable if the Training has to be postponed or cancelled for reasons beyond our reasonable control. This could include (but isn't limited to) an epidemic or pandemic, terrorist attack, any law of action taken by a government or public authority, fire, explosion, accidence, labour or trade dispute, illness, non-performance by the Venue (or other supplies or subcontractors), or any interruption or failure of utility services.

Will we refuse or remove people from the Training Event?
If someone does not comply with these Attendee Terms, or if we think they could disrupt the Training Event, we may refuse admission or ask the Venue to remove them from the Training Event.
Can you transfer your ticket, or receive a refund?
Once you've received an acknowledgement email, we are unable to transfer your ticket to someone else or provide you with a refund.
Are we photographing and filming at the Training?
Yes, we are photographing and filming at the Training.
By agreeing these Attendee Terms, you acknowledge that we may use the photographs and recordings for the purposes of promoting ImpactVC in any media. This includes print and digital media formats such as web pages, email marketing, posters, banners and social media content. The images and recordings may be made available throughout the world.
